SHIRA ARAD - FILM EDITOR
In 2016, Shira won the Israeli Academy Award for Best Picture Editing of "Our Father" by Meni Yaesh.
Shira also won the Best Editing Award at Haifa International Film Festival, 2016, for editing the feature film "Antenna" by Arik Rotstein.
In 2019, she was nominated for Best Picture Editing of "Incitement" by Yaron Zilberman in the Israeli Academy Awards 2019.
In 2022, Shira was nominated for Best Editing of "After Midnight: The Darkest Secret in Town", by Keren Shayo and Mika Timor in the Israeli Academy Awards 2022.
Shira is a member of the European Film Academy since 2020.

"No Place For Us" (TBA 2025): a feature film by Imri Matalon (Liora Landau, ZOA Films), staring Lihi Kornovski and Ala Dakka. Winner of the Weil Bloch Special Mention Award, 2024.
"The Future" (2023, Additional Editing): a feature film by Noam Kaplan (Gum Films). Selected for the international competition of Tribeca film festival 2023.
Catasterism in Three Movements" (2022): a film by Matthew Barney and Jonathan Bepler.
"Incitement" (2019): a feature film by Yaron Zilberman. The official selection of Toronto International Film Festival. "Incitement" was nominated for 10 Israeli Academy Awards, one of which was Best Picture Editing. It won Best Picture and became Israel's Oscar submission.
"Empathy, Inc." (2018): a feature film by Yedidya Gorsetman (Rigel Films) - Premiered in Cinepocalypse Film Festival, 2018 and screened at Brooklyn Horror Film Festival 2018 as well as Austin and Philadelphia Film Festivals.
"Our Father" ("Avinu") (2016): a feature film by Meni Yaesh (Transfax Productions), winner of Best Actor Award in the Jerusalem Film Festival 2016.
"Our Father" was nominated for 12 Awards in the Israeli Academy Awards (Ophir Awards), and won the Best Actor and Best Editing Awards.
"Antenna" (2016): a feature film by Arik Rotstein (Transfax Productions). Winner of Best Editing Award at Haifa International Film Festival 2016. The film was also selected to participate in Warsaw Film Festival 2016.
"Room 514" (2012): a feature film by Sharon Bar-Ziv. Selected to participate in several leading film festivals such as Rotterdam, Tribeca, Cannes, Tokyo Filmex, Karlovy Vary and many more. Won a Special Jury Mention in Tribeca Film Festival 2012, director's prize in Granada Film Festival, Best New Narrative Director in Tarkovsky Film Festival among others.

"After Midnight: The Darkest Secret in Town" (2021), a documentary series by Keren Shayo and Mika Timor (EGG Films), yesDocu. Shira was the editor of the series as well as the script advisor and music consultant. She also wrote the theme song for the series with the musician Gal Lev.
In 2022, Shira was nominated for Best Picture Editing of the series in the Israeli Academy Awards.
"Family in Transition" (2018, Additional Editing): A documentary feature film by Ofir Trainin. Winner of the Best Israeli Documentary Award at the Docaviv International Documentary Film Festival, 2018. The film qualified for the 2019 Oscar submission and the U.S. theatrical rights sold to Abramorama. It screened at Village East Cinema, NYC and received critical acclaim.

Shira is an experienced music consultant, one of her major projects was music research for the critically acclaimed feature film "Borat" (20th Century Fox). Being a former DJ and having a profound knowledge of music, Shira has assisted in the choosing and editing of music for most of the films she has edited.
